FRANK LLOYD TRIBUTE

We mourn the loss of our founding partner and friend Frank Lloyd, who died on June 24, 2007, after suffering from a massive stroke a day earlier. Frank was 66.

Frank was a pillar in the legal community in New Jersey. He was also an active participant in several not-for-profit organizations, including the United States Equestrian Team, the New York Animal Medical Center and The Seeing Eye, and several private foundations.

Frank was a graduate of University of Denver, where he received his B.A. as well as his J.D. in 1963. His passion for the practice of law was manifest in his day-to-day relationships with his partners, associates and his employees, many of whom have worked beside him for over 20 years.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at the Bergen Performing Arts Center, 30 North Van Brunt Street, Englewood, New Jersey at 11:00 am. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Hackensack University Medical Center in Frank's memory.

Frank's greatest professional pride was in his firm, Harwood Lloyd, LLC. We all feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to have grown in the legal profession with our mentor and friend. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his wife, Karen, and his daughters, Katie, Kristina, and Heather.

* I just learned of Frank's untimely passing and wanted to join with all my friends and former colleagues at HL in expressing my heartfelt sympathy to his wife and family, the Harwood Lloyd family, and the Bergen County legal community on the loss of this truly great and decent man. Frank was an excellent lawyer and leader, and I always will be grateful to him and to the late Victor Harwood for accepting me as a young lawyer to the firm in 1988. My best wishes to you all.
   ~ Robert Byrne, San Francisco

* On behalf of the Chairman Circle program at Continental Airlines we want to express our condolences to his family and friends . Mr. Lloyd was one of our favorite members . He and Karen always brightened our day when they called us. Mr. Lloyd kept us updated with what was going on with his life and his family. In turn he always wanted to express his appreciation for being apart of the very Elite Chairman Circle program. We know that he has left a great legacy for his family and will be missed by all.
~ Chairman Circle Desk Ruby, Warris, Karen, H

* Although I only met Frank on a few occassions, I was very saddened to hear of his passing. The few times that I did see him, I remember him having a big smile on his face. He made Matt and I feel very welcome at his and Karen's home. Karen gave me a beautiful hydrangea plant a few years ago which I translanted in our garden. Just this weekend, it started to bloom. I'll think of Frank, Karen and their family each time I see it now. My thoughts and prayers are with Frank's entire family and his extended family at Harwood Lloyd at this time.
   ~ Abby Lundy, Hillsdale

* Recently at our company's annual picnic, I shared a few laughs and jokes with Frank and now appreciate the time I had with him on that day. I remember his jovial, bright and honest smile of hello every time I would see him in the office. May God bless the Lloyd family and his close friends as you all are in my family's prayers.
~ Sheri' Blands-Pearson, Rochelle Park, NJ

* As a former employee of HL, I was greatly saddened to learn of Frank's passing. I have many fond memories of my tenure at HL and still feel a strong connection. My sincere condolences to the Lloyd family and all who were close to Frank at HL. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
